Culture is not a reference point. It is the starting point.
Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, Erik has spent more than two decades in Fort Worth. That relationship between places continues to shape his practice: familiar symbols are reworked through a contemporary lens, while personal experiences become color, gesture, and form.
He began with ink on paper and digital transfers, then developed a broader process that moves between handwork and digital tools. The result is art that feels generous, graphic, and alive.
